FAQs

Treatments

  • Our treatments are not traditional facials—they are a fusion of somatic therapy and advanced facial massage techniques. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and may include lymphatic drainage, Eastern European lifting massage, Indian head massage, intraoral work, and breath-led grounding practices. The focus is on releasing deep tension, supporting emotional wellbeing, and restoring balance through touch.

  • Somatic facial massage is a body-mind approach that connects the skin, fascia, and nervous system. It uses intentional, mindful touch to support not just the muscles of the face, but the whole body’s stress response. It’s deeply grounding, emotionally supportive, and can be profoundly rejuvenating—both inside and out.

  • Intraoral massage involves gentle, gloved access to the inner muscles of the mouth to release deep facial and jaw tension. It can be especially helpful for those experiencing TMJ issues, teeth grinding, emotional holding, or tension-related headaches. It is always optional and only offered when appropriate and with full consent.

  • Yes, we use a curated selection of vegan, cruelty-free, and botanically based products. Everything used is selected for purity, potency, and skin compatibility. Our focus is on nourishment—not overload.

  • You’ll begin with a relaxed, heartfelt consultation where we explore your current physical, emotional, and skin-based needs. From there, your session will be completely tailored to you—your mood, your body, your breath. Expect warmth, presence, and care in every detail.

  • Yes. Many clients find this work to be deeply supportive for the nervous system. The combination of breathwork, mindful touch, and emotional attunement can help shift you out of fight-or-flight and into a more grounded, regulated state. This is a space to rest, to feel, and to reset.

  • Absolutely. While we don’t believe in “anti” aging, our lifting techniques, fascia release, and lymphatic drainage support tone, glow, and cellular vitality. You’ll leave looking more radiant—but more importantly, feeling more connected and at ease in your skin.

  • This depends on your goals. For deep tension release or ongoing stress support, a series of treatments can be incredibly effective. For maintenance and self-care, monthly or seasonal sessions are a beautiful rhythm. We can always discuss what’s best for you after your first visit.

Booking and appointments

  • At Soma + Skin, we invite you to book time, not a specific treatment. This allows your session to unfold organically, guided by what your skin, body, and nervous system need most on the day.

You'll choose the length of time that feels right for you, and we’ll begin with a separate consultation (not included in your treatment time) to explore how you're feeling physically, emotionally, and energetically. From there, your bespoke session will be created—whether it's deeply focused on facial sculpting, somatic release, intraoral work, or nervous system support.

  • We recommend starting with 75 or 90 minutes for your first visit. This allows time to explore your needs and give your body space to fully arrive, unwind, and receive the work. You’ll never feel rushed or processed—this is a different pace of care.

  • No. The initial consultation is offered in addition to your booked session time. It’s an important part of the experience—an invitation to slow down and land in your body before touch even begins.

  • Yes, we have parking available.
